If you are under 5'5 then you may require petite maternity clothes. Even though your belly may be growing larger you may still need apparel designed for your small frame. Many women who are naturally petite find that they carry all their weight in the belly area while the rest of their body stays thin. To cover the pregnancy panel you will need longer tops. One of the biggest trends these days is to bare a little cleavage while covering your belly. Baby doll tops, wrap tops and empire waist tops are all great choices to wear over maternity jeans or even leggings. Many petite women have small breasts and are delighted to find they've grown a cup size or so during their pregnancy. To support your bust you will need a bra that fits properly and helps lift this area. If you're not comfortable showing off your cleavage there are lots of modest styles like tunic tops and T-shirts perfect for everyday wear.

You can buy petite maternity clothes at any maternity specialty store like A Pea in the Pod or Bella Blu Maternity. In addition you will find some petite clothing items at stores like J.C. Penney, Target, Gap and many others. Most anywhere that carries maternity apparel will have some choices for petites. You might also want to shop online. The Internet is a great source for maternity clothes in all sizes and styles. In addition to the online boutiques on the Internet you might also want to try shopping on Ebay.
